The background info about the gallery and items you should know.

First off, when you send a postcard, it DOES reveal your real e-mail address. In our case, we throw that away - it's an automated system we made which chops the mime message into pieces, the mail headers are not one of the pieces and get dropped accordingly. No harvesting of addresses is done here. (we hate spam as much as the next person.. I, Wagahai, get between 200-300 pieces in any given 24 hour period and it bugs the hell out of me).

Next item.. although the pictures are "yours" to post, keep in mind that we're just doing a silly little site here. If you want your picture removed, point your camrea at the ground and take a blank picture, that's the fastest/easiest way to "clear" the picture we have. Later, if you really want to have the picture removed, leave an IM for Wagahai Oddfellow in SL. (We don't do this via mail since we like to make sure that the person asking for the picture removed is the same person who posted it).

Here's the flow:
  1. procmail parses incomming mail on the server, checks to make sure it's from linden labs and is a postcard.
  2. ripmime grabs the pieces of the mail and seperates them into files
  3. perl program checks the incomming mail, grabs the name of the person and the message body and fills in a pre-made template for the webpage
  4. Temporary files get removed and everything cleans up after itself
  5. PHP index page checks for files meeting the criteria of a SL name and lists them.. they become clickable the minute the files are there.
